Welcome!

Football-Lineups.com is a collaborative Database where football (soccer) fans can review and post teams tactics and formations.

In Football, different formations can be used depending on whether you wish to adopt a more attacking or defensive style of play. This information can be used as free sports betting tips and help you better understand a particular match before it begins.

Formations are described as the number of players in each area from the defensive line (not including the goalkeeper). For example 4-4-2 describes the formation as having: 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 forwards. Conventionally the formation can be described with 3 numbers, like before, or with 4-numbered (e.g. 4-4-1-1). Formations definitely do make a difference - bookmakers pay attention to them when framing their market.

In the modern game, fans, journalists and pundits alike are increasingly aware of the tactical nuances and formations that managers are adopting. This site started up as a method of following the tactics and formations across world football. The ever expanding database can lead to a greater understanding of the game, the tactics involved, and the differences between teams and league.

The aim of the site is to show the match formation of a team by providing fan coverage of several leagues. We currently have more than 99000 line-ups from every type of competition and tournament. If you study these you may have greater success with your Champions League and World Cup betting. Should you have any questions or feedback please do not hesitate to contact us.
