	02-Jun-09 18:55 guest 115.67.111.169			In the 7 Feb 2009 Portsmouth vs Liverpool game that 76.90.6.231 mentioned, Aurelio was playing in a rather advanced position in the centre of the park. So it was more like a 3-3-3-1 formation. The other example of 3-4-2-1 was Brazil during the 2002 World Cup, particularly the last three games when Kleberson and Gilberto Silva were deployed as defensive midfielders. In the earlier games, Gilberto Silva was the lone defensive midfielder with three attacking midfielders deployed.

	06-Jun-10 08:38 Dr.Ninan Kerala			Maradona is planning to use this formation in FIFA WC 2010. Jonas and DiMaria will be the wing-backs. Both have good strength, pace and stamina. Messi and Tevez will be the forwards and Higuain the striker. This formation looks terrific on paper. Let us wait for the results.

	29-Dec-13 14:15 guest 78.0.150.39			A good counter to 352, 3421 is a narrow formation and an variant of either 343, or 361, depending on the execution and player choice as well as tactics. As with any formation with three at the back, the wingbacks are obvious weakness since they re supposed to both provide runs deep into the opposition territory and track back to provide side cover, a feat that s pretty hard. It is better against other narrow formation, and isn t as good against formations that can overload it s own wingbacks. Against these, a 343 with wing forwards is better because wingers will occupy the fullbacks, leaving wingbacks against the oppositions side midfielders.
