I play this formation with my university team and my club teams.
Allows for everyne to participate in the attacking and defending phases.
Against weaker opponents, we press on the flanks with the three forwards eliminating defenders and have all our other players tight on the opponents. We also have our ball-side outside back push high onto their outside midfielder.
Against better teams, it s easy to drop off and clog the middle.
Great formation for ball poessession. Most of our attacking play comes from the wide positions and the attacking midfielder who is free to roam and play in the hole.

This tacktic is very atacking football, Leonardo uses this formation for Ac Milan with Seedorf as playmaker and Pato, Borriello & Ronaldinho upfront, and the rest 5 zonal marking, you will need good switbher

This was also Barcelona s tactics some time ago, with Rivaldo as the playmaker.

Nowadays, the 4-3-3 is still very often used, but it s more a 4-1-2-3. I don t understand why the 4-2-1-3 has becomed much more rare.

I play this formation with my kids team and it s very efficient : with a fit forward midfielder you stop most of counter attack. The 2 defensive midfielder hold the center very well and the attacking power with 3 full forward is devastating.
Kids love this strategy because the role of everyone is simple and everybody touch the ball.

We use this formation for our 14 age girls. It puts pressure on your outside defenders. With two outside backs that can be offensive and take the ball to the forwards and still be able to recover defensively helps immensely. Defensive mids are crucial for balls in the air and stopping crosses by opponents. Also a forward on weak side to protect space on weak field during opponents possession.

tactic of jose mourinhos treble winning inter milan team in 2009/2010.eto and pandev on the right and left with milito through the middle.sneijder as the creative midfielder.cambiasso and zanneti did the holding roles in midfield.attacking full backs especially maicon destroyed opposition defences. its good for quick passing counter attacking football ,not so much for possession. i remember inter destroying chelsea at stamford bridge in the champions league with this line up.

Yes typical Arsene Wenger formation for arsenal fc. But have been searching for the right playmaker behind Van Persie since the departure of Nasri.
