5-3-2 can be a neutral formation when 2 wingbacks, 1 midfielder and 2 forwards join attacks. but usually it s not played in such 5:5 form (different from 3-4-1-2 with stagged midfield), instead it s often used as a defensive formation. Paraguay plays this formation. focusing on destroying instead of creating. 8 players on defense make it extremely difficult for opponent offense to break down.

a more defense minded 352 with the wing backs being pulled back. Extremely defensive and based on man marking the opposing forwards while employing a sweeper to mop up any loose players. Not very much used because many teams these days play with 1 striker and having 3 defenders to mark 1 striker means the sweeper is forced to push up and play a more defensive midfielder role resulting in a more orthodox 442 diamond.

the sweeper does not mark any player, instead it makes forward run to the midfield but not acting as a fourth midfielder.

this formation or system has lots of triangle it helps the players to have lots of passes if one opponent player is stacked at the triangle they will try to play the opponent until the others will come and they will change side they will change side very quick to counter attack the enemy..I saw these when we lost our last game

This is a very flexible formation:
- when defending, it gives the ability of having two lines of defense, with the added ability of having one of the forwards as a defensive forward, pressing the opponents along with one of the midfielders
- when attacking, it morphs quite easily into an ultra-offensive 3-4-3, when one of the midfielders attacks the box.

The only drawback is that the wings really need to put an effort, probably running > 10km / match.

According to me 5-3-2 is a great formation. It s a complete lineup, strong in every zone, defensive, offensive and, of course, in the midfield. You can play by counterattack or by ball-possession with very good results in the same way. Superiority around the ball is guaranteed, when team remains short .
