| Ángel Martín Correa Martínez (Spanish pronunciation: ; born 9 March 1995) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a forward or right winger for Liga MX club Tigres UANL and the Argentina national team.
Correa began his career at San Lorenzo, progressing through the club's youth ranks and making his professional debut in 2013. During his early years, he helped the team secure the 2013 Torneo Inicial championship and the 2014 Copa Libertadores. Later, he signed with Atlético Madrid, but was sidelined for several months after undergoing heart surgery, delaying his debut until 2015. Over the course of his time at Atlético Madrid, Correa made over 400 appearances and played a key role in the team's success, including winning a La Liga title in 2021. In July 2025, he transferred to Tigres UANL in Mexico.
Correa captained the Argentina under-20 to victory at the 2015 South American U-20 Championship, where he was named Player of the Tournament. Since making his senior debut in 2015, he has been a consistent member of the Argentina national team. Correa represented Argentina at the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, contributing to the team's success in both tournaments.
He is unrelated to Joaquín Correa. Wikipedia text is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License - Full article |
